Running a session
What happens in Creative Prayer sessions?
Here is the typical structure of our sessions but this can be adapted to suit the needs of the group
9.45 am Arrive for refreshments and gather
10.00 am Start the session. People are asked to briefly introduce themselves and their hopes for the time
10.15 am Bible passage and short reflection is offered to the group
10.25 am The group is led in a short relaxation exercise to let go of the concerns of the day and enter into stillness
10.30 am Personal reflective time begins. Participants can use art materials that have been laid out if they wish
12.00 pm The group is called back for an optional sharing time. Each person is listened to without judgement
12.30 pm Closing Prayer. End of the session

We have on occasion run a whole day session.

-
Collage

Watercolour
-
Bible Journalling

Sometimes we have invited a guest with specific expertise to lead the session.

Planning
We like to know in advance how many people are coming so that we can plan for refreshments, resources and number of tables to put out. We tend to collect bookings via Eventbrite. Our numbers will typically range from 8 to 20.

Do you charge for your sessions?
Our sessions are free but we take donations to cover materials, refreshments, heating, lighting etc
